Montaigne, 1668

The nation is troubled. On the one hand, the court in Charouse lives a life in unknown debauchery, while the peasants and marquis are stumbling under the weight of taxes and tariffs to finance l’Empereur’s escapades. In some of Charouse’s salons there are whispers of sedition and revolution, and the peasantry is struggling to survive.

It seems that only the musketeers stand between the peasants and revolution, but even they struggle in their duties.

Soon, the musketeers will have to decide between their loyalty to L’Empereur, and to Montaigne.

Soon, the wheat will be separated from the chaff.

Soon, it will be time for heroes.
